About Summit Painting Denver
Rooted in Denver. Built on craft.
Summit Painting Denver was founded on a simple premise: that a home in Colorado deserves paint that understands Colorado — the altitude, the climate, and the architecture that makes Denver's neighborhoods worth preserving.
Meet the TeamOur Story
From Cherry Creek, for all of Denver
Summit Painting Denver was built from the ground up in Cherry Creek — the neighborhood we call home, and the standard against which we measure every project we take on. When our founders started painting homes in Denver's most discerning neighborhoods, they quickly learned that Colorado is not like anywhere else: the UV at 5,280 feet bleaches mediocre paint in two seasons, the freeze-thaw cycles crack improperly prepped surfaces before the first winter is over, and the local architecture — Craftsman bungalows in Washington Park, Victorian cottages in Highlands, new luxury infill in Stapleton — demands painters who understand what they're working with, not just how to use a roller.
Over fifteen years, we've built a team of Denver-native painters who approach each home the way a craftsman approaches a piece of furniture: with attention to surface, preparation, and material that goes far beyond what the homeowner will ever see directly. The prep work is invisible. The finished result is not.
Today, Summit Painting Denver serves Cherry Creek, Washington Park, Highlands, Stapleton, and the broader Denver metro — with the same written estimates, premium materials, and walkthrough-based quality standard that has driven every project since day one. We don't take on more work than we can do well. That discipline is what our reviews reflect.
What We Stand For
Three values that drive every project
Craftsmanship
Preparation is the product
Seventy percent of a paint job's longevity is determined before the first drop of paint is applied. We never skip a step in surface cleaning, sanding, patching, or priming — because what the homeowner doesn't see is exactly what determines whether a paint job lasts three years or ten.
Transparency
Written estimates, no surprises
Every Summit estimate is a line-item document — materials, labor, prep, and primer called out separately. You know what you're paying for before we start. We publish pricing ranges on our service pages because we believe informed clients make better decisions, and better decisions lead to projects everyone is proud of.
Local Expertise
Denver-native knowledge
Our team knows Cherry Creek's HOA requirements, Washington Park's Victorian trim profiles, and Highlands' mix of renovated bungalows and new infill. We've worked in nearly every Denver neighborhood, and that familiarity informs every color recommendation, every product selection, and every scheduling decision we make.
The Team
Denver painters. Not subcontractors.
Summit Painting Denver employs its own painters — not a rotating cast of subcontractors hired for single projects. Every member of our crew has been trained in our specific preparation standards, product handling requirements, and client communication expectations. When you book a Summit project, the team that shows up for the estimate is the team that does the work.
Our painters understand Denver's unique residential character. They know how to handle the tight trim profiles on a 1920s Craftsman bungalow in Washington Park without losing the architectural detail that makes the home valuable. They know how to work efficiently in the occupied homes of Cherry Creek without disrupting daily life. And they know that in Denver's renovation-dense neighborhoods, word of mouth is everything — which means every job is a direct reflection of the next one.

Our Materials
Why we use Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore exclusively
Denver sits at 5,280 feet above sea level. The UV radiation at that altitude is approximately 25% more intense than at sea level — which means the UV-absorbing pigments in standard exterior paint degrade significantly faster than manufacturers' sea-level testing predicts. Sherwin-Williams Emerald Exterior and Benjamin Moore Aura Exterior use higher concentrations of titanium dioxide and proprietary UV blockers that we have seen perform measurably better over 7–10 year cycles on Denver homes.
Denver's freeze-thaw cycling — over 100 crossings of the 32°F threshold annually — demands paint with high elongation ratings that flex with the substrate rather than cracking through it. Both Sherwin-Williams Duration and Benjamin Moore Aura are 100% acrylic formulations with the elasticity required for Colorado's thermal swings. For stucco, we specify elastomeric coatings exclusively; standard acrylic on Denver stucco will begin cracking within four to five years as the substrate expands and contracts.
We don't use paint-and-primer-in-one products, budget-tier paints, or untested alternatives — not because they wouldn't save us money per project, but because we offer a satisfaction guarantee and stand behind every job. That guarantee only means something if the materials can support it.
